November is filled with frequent occasions to give thanks to the Lord for the abundant blessings he has bestowed on our lives. Before we enjoy Thanksgiving, the UCS faculty and staff would like to pause and share how thankful we are to have our students with us on campus each day. We are sincerely appreciative of the partnership and support of our parents, allowing us to provide an authentic Christian education on a daily basis. We continue to see and enjoy the visible demonstration of God’s hand of blessing and favor over our students and on our campus. This Thanksgiving please take a moment to celebrate the goodness of God and recall specifically how you have personally encountered His goodness and mercy.
Our focus at University Christian School is to prepare students to fulfill God’s calling on their life. It always brings a sense of joy when we see our graduates striving to honor God with the gifts and talents He has given them.
As a Christian School we believe that God’s Word is truth and that as stated in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
University Christian School strives to develop a servant’s heart within each student grades K3 through twelfth grade. Participation in community service, charitable giving and mission opportunities, locally and globally, are common on our campus. High school students must maintain yearly community service hours as a requirement for graduation.
Over a decade, one of the landmarks of I-95 on the Southside of Jacksonville has been the large American flag that proudly flies on the campus of University Christian School and University Church. The stars and stripes can be seen from a great distance away, proudly representing the freedom we love and cherish as Americans.
